Industry/Job Specific Courses

Industry specific courses are designed to focus on skills certain employees need to do their jobs. Hospital employees, for example, may need to access employer specific software (i.e. PeopleSoft), Outlook, navigate the hospital intranet, and use EPIC (an electronic record keeping system). Some roles, such as room service, require transitioning from print to using a computer. Contextualized training, such as printing menus, entering choices into a computer, and troubleshooting, is offered to make the transition smooth. After training is complete, employees will be able to complete daily work tasks on the computer.
