JVS Boston is thrilled to announce that Jonathan Nierman will be joining us as our new Chief Development Officer. In this position, he will drive the major gifts program and provide strategic direction and oversight for the development team, which includes communications, institutional support, and events. In concert with Jerry Rubin, JVS’s President & CEO, Jonathan will manage a robust portfolio of high-level major donors and work closely with the Resource Development Committee of the Board to further strengthen the philanthropic program. He is looking forward to joining an organization with a culture, history, and mission that closely aligns with his values and experience, and to taking on increased strategic leadership and staff management responsibilities.
Jonathan brings to the position closely relevant strategic leadership and frontline fundraising experience from his current role as Regional Director of Development of American Jewish Committee. In this position he successfully managed high level donors on a national and international scope and worked extensively with partnering Jewish organizations and the Jewish philanthropic community. Prior to AJC, Jonathan served as a Donor Relations Officer at the National MS Society where he had success building organizational and team capacity. In this role he managed a portfolio of major donors and corporate partners and honed his managerial skills by offering mentorship and training to teams at regional offices and supervising his own team of 7.
We are excited to welcome Jonathan to the JVS community!
