David Sussman

Vice President of Refugee, Immigrant, and Disability Services

David serves as the Vice President of Refugee, Immigrant, and Disability Services at JVS. In this role, he ensures that high-quality education, skills, training, and job placement services are delivered effectively to these three unique populations.

David brings over 15 years of experience focused on refugees, immigration, and resettlement. Most recently, he served as Field Office Director for the Albany office of the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants, where he led regional programs and operations. His background also includes work with the International Rescue Committee, International Organization for Migration, UNHCR, and the Massachusetts Office for Refugees and Immigrants, along with teaching at Tokai University and Tufts University and consulting for the World Bank on refugee integration.

He holds a B.A. from Dartmouth College and an M.A. and Ph.D. from the Fletcher School at Tufts University.
