The JVS Story
JVS Boston was founded in 1938 during the Great Depression to assist Jewish immigrants and refugees struggling to enter the American workforce and support their families.
Today, we are among the oldest and largest providers of adult education and workforce development services in Greater Boston, serving a diverse clientele representing over 67 nations, and speaking 59 languages, and helping people secure financial independence through educational and employment services.

JVS Boston Careers FAQs
After applying for an open position at JVS, a member of our People & Culture team will reach out to you to schedule a phone screen, given that your qualifications are a good fit for the role. You will speak with P&C first, and if moved the next round, you will have an interview with the manager for that position. If you advance, the final round of interviews involves a panel interview. After all the interviews are complete, a decision will be made. JVS Boston is committed to implementing fair and equitable hiring practices.
At JVS Boston, we offer both full-time and part-time roles. There are several different departments, so you can find a role within a department that best suits your skills, expertise, and experience.
JVS Boston is committed to supporting the professional development of our staff. We provide a Tuition Assistance program so staff members can continue their education. Additionally, we host regular Town Hall meetings, Lunch & Learn trainings, and other opportunities for you to grow in your career here at JVS.
JVS works to build a more diverse, equitable organization. We do this through regular DE&I education, training, and strategy. We have a cross-functional team that focuses primarily on DE&I goals, so we can achieve these goals effectively.
