Adult Education Programs at JVS

Going back to the classroom is a great way to get the skills you need for a new career! We are here to help you learn everything you need to secure a better job. Our adult education programs include English classes to build your workplace English skills as well as college bridge programs. In all of our education programs you’ll be supported to start or continue your education on the path to a new job or advancing in your current career.

CJP Scholarship Fund

The Combined Jewish Philanthropies Scholarship Fund was established in 1973. The Committee awards grants to eligible undergraduate students. Greater Boston permanent residency requirements apply.

The Fund is non-sectarian. Primary consideration is given to Jewish students. Individuals who apply for CJP Scholarship funds are considered on the basis of economic need and merit.

Refugee & Immigrant Employment Programs

Our job training programs are here to make sure that the next wave of Boston’s workforce can thrive. Whether you came to Boston last month or 20 years ago, we have the tools to help you secure a job. 

We offer rapid employment services, skills training, and career advancement services. ESOL and career coaching is part of all our refugee and immigrant employment programs. 

Bridges to College Program

Bridges to College and Careers (BCC) are JVS Boston’s free college bridge programs. These programs help you prepare for success in college and beyond! In all of our Bridges to College and Careers programs, you’ll build your academic skills, apply for college, and kickstart a career after graduation. We currently offer two college bridge programs to support you in your academic journey. Both programs are offered in partnership with Quincy College.

Yes, all of our adult education programs include help finding a job with one of our many employers in the Boston and Greater Boston area.

No, you do not need to pay for any of our adult education programs.  All programs are completely free. If you are interested in participating in one of our adult education programs, the first step is to apply today using our online application form.
