Jennifer Jewell, Chief Financial Officer

Jennifer Jewell is Chief Financial Officer at JVS. Jennifer is leading the overall financial strategy and function at JVS, working closely with the CEO, Executive Team, Board of Directors, and senior staff.

Jennifer brings over 15 years of nonprofit financial leadership to the CFO role. Her experience has primarily focused on developing internal systems and procedures to support the strategic growth of the organizations she has served. Jennifer is joining us from the National Center on Time and Learning where, as the Managing Director of Finance and Operations, she has led operations of four related education reform organizations. Previously, Jennifer served as the Senior Director of Finance and Regional Operations for KIPP Massachusetts. During her four year tenure in the lead finance role, KIPP MA grew from 1 school serving 370 students to 5 schools serving over 1,400 students, with a budget increase from $5M to $20M. Jennifer also played a pivotal role for 5 years on the national finance team at City Year, Inc. headquarters, managing a team of accountants and analysts to establish policies and replicable structures to support the $60 million organization’s growth of sites in multiple cities around the country.

Jennifer actively volunteers with numerous organizations, including serving on the board of Marblehead Community Access Media and various volunteering roles.

Jennifer holds a Bachelors of Science in Management from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and a Masters of Public Administration with a Nonprofit Administration concentration from San Francisco State University.
