Chief Program Officer
Sher Omerovic, Chief Program Officer – As the Chief Program Officer, Sher provides strategic leadership to the programmatic Vice President team, ensuring alignment between JVS’s programs and our mission and goals. Sher collaborates with our principal executives to ensure our long-term strategic planning and board management aligns with the organization’s mission and goals. Sher’s experience in programmatic leadership and management, combined with her strong knowledge of budgeting, finance, and stakeholder management, will be crucial in driving the success of our programs and achieving our organizational objectives.
Sher also served as the Senior Vice President of Programs, where she oversaw JVS’s Health Care Skills Training Program, Career Path Programming and Academic Services. Sher collaborated with government agencies, ABE programs, and community partners to create partnership models that brought together housing, education, and workforce development agencies to help individuals and families increase their level of economic self-sufficiency through employment, education, and financial empowerment. Prior to JVS, she worked at the Fish Family Foundation, where she developed and implemented a statewide citizenship initiative partnering with multiple community organizations, immigration attorneys, and volunteers to organize large-scale citizenship events across the commonwealth.
Sher holds a Master’s of Nonprofit Management with specialization in Project Management from Northeastern University.
