Kira's Story
“Arriving in the U.S. from Russia as a child, my family found hope and support through Jewish Vocational Service (JVS), the very organization I now lead. My journey from a JVS English student to its president and CEO has been deeply personal. Having benefited from JVS’s guidance during our early days in America, I now have the privilege of steering this $26 million nonprofit that assists thousands. This role is more than a job; it’s my tribute to an organization that once offered my family a new beginning, and it’s my opportunity to extend that same support to others embarking on their own journeys in a new land.”
