Boston Globe Cites JVS Boston’s Work in Recent Article

JVS Boston was cited in an article by The Boston Globe about how Haitian migrants seeking full-time employment face barriers beyond attaining work permits. 

Jewish Vocational Services held a job fair targeting non-native English speakers Monday with four Boston-area food service companies. About 100 people — mostly Haitian Creole speakers — showed up looking for employment.

Susan Buckey, director of employer engagement at Jewish Vocational Services and MassHIRE Downtown Boston, said the organization plans to hold more job fairs moving forward.
