Bridges to College and Careers
Prepare for success in college and beyond! In Bridges to College and Careers, you’ll build your academic skills, apply for college, and kickstart a career after graduation.
What does this program offer?
- A 23-week program which includes academic, career, and financial coaching to help prepare you for college and beyond
- A smooth transition to either Bunker Hill Community College or Quincy College so you can get your degree
- Lifelong career advancement coaching after you graduate
Am I eligible for this program?
- Age 18 or older
- High school diploma (from anywhere in the world), GED, or HiSET
- Intermediate to high English skills
- U.S. citizen, green card holder, refugee status, or a document stating the date you have been granted political asylum
- For Biotechnology only: strong math skills and an interest in science

Biotechnology
Biotechnology prepares you for a career working in the thriving Biotechnology industry doing lab research, manufacturing, and quality control. Classes are part-time in the morning or evening. After JVS, Biotechnology students enroll at Quincy College in their year-long Biotechnology and Good Manufacturing Practices Certificate program.
Schedule (morning): Monday 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Tuesday 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Wednesday 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Thursday 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Schedule (evening): Monday 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Tuesday 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Substance Addiction
- A smooth transition to Quincy College so you can get your Substance Addiction Certificate
- Stackable Credential, Students can work to get an Associates Degree
- Jobs include: Social Worker, Healthcare, Legal
- Enables students to attain additional degrees in Substance Addiction & Human Services

General Studies
General Studies prepares you to go to Bunker Hill Community College, where you can study in the program of your choosing. Classes meet part-time in the mornings. General Studies students have gone on to study subjects such as Healthcare, Nursing, Languages, Early Childhood Education, Culinary Arts, and many others.
