Automotive Technician Training Program Overview

Details

Training is part-time, with an average of up to 15 instruction hours per week. The schedule includes evening classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 PM to 8 PM, and sessions every other Saturday from 9 AM to 3 PM.

Do You Qualify?

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Proficient in English or have strong English skills
  • Genuine interest in working in the automotive industry
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours
  • Clean driving record and valid driver’s license required
  • Strong listening skills and attention to detail
  • Motivated to pursue growth opportunities and demonstrate a strong work ethic

      Duration: September 10 – February 8
      Orientation: September 5
  • Classes:
    Tuesdays and Thursdays: 4-8 pm
    Every other Saturday: 9 am-3 pm
  • Please note: This is an in-person training which occurs at Madison Park Technical Vocational High School (near Roxbury Crossing MBTA station).

Automotive Technicians are professionals who inspect, maintain, and repair cars. Their duties include: diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes and tire rotations, and repairing or replacing faulty parts.
