Includes hands on training in a live lab setting, with career placement with Boston area employers. Prepares participants to successfully pass the National Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) Exam.

Serves individuals in Boston and the surrounding areas. Individualized job placement services at hospital employers in the Boston area upon successful completion of the training program and required externship hours.

Starting hourly pay rate

$20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Do You Qualify?

Fluent or strong English skills required
Massachusetts Resident
Must have a desire to work as a CSP Technician
Must not be enrolled in full-time college classes
Must be able to commit to both the entire full-time training program, and full-time employment for a year following graduation from the program
Able to commit to working rotating shifts, including rotating weekends
HS Diploma, GED or equivalent required
Must be 18+ years old
Applicants are required to successfully complete CORI, SORI, background and drug screenings
Have attention to detail, problem solving and critical thinking skills
Must commit to a full-time, 12-week training program, complete required externship hours
and CRCST Exam Prep

What Does A Central Sterile Processing Technician Do?

Central Sterile Processing Technicians work hard to decontaminate and sterilize medical equipment and tools, in order to ensure that all surgeries and medical procedures are safe and efficient. They will work with heavy machinery and live chemical compositions to sterilize surgical equipment before and after surgical procedures, maintain machine data and calibrations, and preparing sterile packages and supplies for operating rooms.
