Credentials included with this program:
Home Health Aide (HHA),
CPR, Basic Life Support
(BLS), and First Aid

Required job placement with local hospital partner after graduation

Offered at no cost to those who are selected to participate

Starting Hourly Pay Rate

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Do You Qualify?

  • Ages 18+
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Must be a Massachusetts Resident
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must not be currently enrolled college classes or planning to enroll within the next year
  • Must not already have an advanced degree from the US (Bachelor’s Degree or higher)
  • At least 6 months of prior work experience is required, in any country or field
  • Must be able to commit to full-time employment for 1 year after graduating from the program
  • Able to commit to working rotating shifts, including evening/overnight hours and rotating weekends
  • Must have up to date COVID and Flu vaccine
  • Can lift/push/pull up to 100 pounds, independently
  • Must be able to train at various sites around Boston that are MBTA accessible
  • Must be able to undergo criminal record screening (CORI/SORI) and drug screening
  • Must be able to complete the entire full-time training program

Patient Care Technicians support activities of daily living for patients at hospitals, by learning how to perform a number of essential tasks for the care of others. They learn how to measure and record vital signs, perform daily care tasks, and achieve certifications to perform CPT and other first aid and basic life support procedures.

Patient Care Technicians have the opportunity to gain on- the-job skills working directly with patients in hospital settings. This experience can be leveraged into further education for fields like Nursing, Respiratory Therapists, Aides, and Physician Assistants.
