Transitions to Work
Do you need help finding a job and succeeding at work? JVS’s Transitions to Work program can help you launch your career through skills training, employer-based internships, job placement services, and ongoing support. Classes are held at worksites throughout Greater Boston, which are all accessible by public transportation, and are taught by JVS instructors. This extensive training and internship program enables adults with disabilities to develop the skills needed for jobs that provide earnings and a sense of purpose.
Transitions to Work offers seven training sessions annually at employer training partner sites. These sites include CVS, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston Children’s Hospital, Whole Foods, and NewBridge On the Charles. Click here to watch a video about our program. Transitions to Work is a collaboration between the CJP, JVS, and the Ruderman Family Foundation.

“When first hired Isaac, who is a graduate of Transitions to Work, it seemed that I was doing the right thing for Isaac and the program. But as I and Prime Motors came to know Isaac, watching his attitude toward work, his tremendous contributions to the company, I came to understand that I wasn’t just doing the right thing, but also the smart thing for our business, finding and hiring great talent. Since then, we hired three more Transitions grads at Prime Motor.” – David Rosenberg, CEO of Prime Motor Group
