Free Comprehensive Refugee Employment Services

This Employment program with Vocational English classes is designed specifically for individuals who have been in the United States for fewer than 5 years, and arrived as a refugee, asylee, or similar population. We can help you determine if you are eligible. The intensive pace will prepare you for what could be your very first job in the United States.

The CRES program offers services throughout the week, Monday to Friday. We offer employment services paired with Vocational English classes to help you land a job in the United States.

  • Expert career coaches to help you secure employment.
  • English classes, interview preparation, skills training and more.
  • Job search/on-going career assistance.
  • Support with the cost of earning industry certificates — including CNA, CDL, ECE, etc, — and driver’s license.

Do You Qualify?

  • Living in the United States for fewer than 5 years, with one of the following statuses
    • Cuban/Haitian Entrant (CHE) with parole status, asylee applicant, or in removal proceedings
    • Afghan parolee (OAW)
    • Ukrainian Parolee (U4U)
    • Amerasians from Vietnam
    • Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) Holders from Iraq and Afghanistan
    • T Visa / Certified Victim of Trafficking
  • Non-native English speaker (no minimum English skills required)
  • Interest in getting a job and building career skills
  • Able to meet in person and remotely with Career Coach and complete program activities
  • Authorized to work in the United States (or with a pathway to work-authorization)
