  • Six-week, PAID in-person training for all participants who complete the training and are in good standing at time of payment

  • Results in a job as a Patient Care Technician at UMass Memorial Health, paid a minimum of $18.92 per hour day shift, $20.92 per hour evening shift, and $22.92 per hour overnight shift (rates include shift differentials)
  • Credentials included with this program: CPR, Basic Life Support (BLS), and First Aid

Do You Qualify?

  • Must complete a registration form: Patient Care Technician Pathway Program Interest form
  • Must have a HS Diploma, GED, or foreign equivalency
  • Must be able to work every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, & Sunday) and holiday
  • Must have at least intermediate English skills
  • Must be willing to get an MMR vaccination and take a TB test
  • Must be able to pass a background check and a drug test

  4. If you pass both assessments, meet with a JVS staff member over Zoom for a first-round interview
  5. If selected for the program, work with JVS to improve your resume and practice your interview skills
  6. Interview with a UMass Memorial Health nurse manager and, if selected for the job, begin your training with JVS!
